About:

The committee is committed to the safety and security of the stakeholders in the institute. Any untoward happenings inside the college premises and in the campus are monitored by the SSC. The SSC also helps students and staff get aware of the safety requirements through notices, seminars and circulars.

Function and Responsibilities:

• To develop and maintain the safe and secure environment in the campus
• Working and maintenance of surveillance cameras, display and other security equipment.
• Maintenance of the lift, electrical equipment, panels etc.
• Evaluate the working of smoke detector and fire alarm systems.
• To inculcate ethical behaviour, responsibility and commitment among students.
• Maintain and display the correct sign boards at proper locations.
• To conduct evacuation drills during the sound of fire alarm.
• To inculcate ethical behaviour, responsibility and commitment among students.
• Training to students and staff for the use of fire extinguisher during emergencies.
• To make the students aware about the availability of free medical councilor facility in the college.
• Students are encouraged to attend seminars, webinars and guest lectures related to effects of alcohol, drugs, relationship violence, gender bias etc.
• Vigilance of security staff is monitored to avoid any misuse infrastructure
• Guidance to security staff to direct and help the disabled students and elder person to enter and exit from ramp entrance.
• Monitor the strict checking of students’ ID and external person details in the register by the security staff.
