About:

ACS is one of the Technical Committees of K J Somaiya Institute of Engineering & Information Technology. It was formed in August, 2018. Currently it consists of 80+ members making it one of the largest technical committees of the college.American Chemical Society (ACS) - KJSIEIT Students' Chapter is an organization for students who like to participate in a wide range of programs and activities that enhance their college experience and prepare them for successful careers

Mission/Vision:

• To advance the broader chemistry enterprise and its practitioners for the benefit of Earth and its people.
• To inculcate ethical behaviour, responsibility and commitment among students.
• We empower our members to advance chemistry, elevate their career potential, expand their networks, inspire future generation and moreover help to build them personally.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide students with a platform that helps them take decisions and make new initiatives in order to work towards the welfare of the college and the student body.
• To ensure that students and faculty members work in coordination to enhance the aspects of growth and vision of KJSIEIT.
• To overlook and organize various student driven activities and events in KJSIEIT.
• To help provide better services for the students and staff.
• Work to ensure better development and utilization of Infrastructure and services for our students.

Event:

1. Robotics Process Automation:

Robotic Process Automation (RPA), a technology that uses software robots to automate repetitive tasks and manual processes-enhancing the work of your employees by interacting with websites, business and desktop applications, databases and people to execute repetitive and often mundane work. The Chapter organised a Webinar on 'RPA - Robotics Process Automaion' for all faculties/students taken by Ms. Dharita Desai from IT department, KJSIEIT.

2. Mock CID:

Student will be provided with encrypted clues which will led to solve a mystery to get the final answer.

3. Technical Quiz:

The 'Technical Quiz' included questions based on technical knowledge related to science. A knowledgeable activity was conducted for students in Renaissance'20.

4. Neon Table Tennis:

Neon Table Tennis With glow table tennis - also called neon table tennis, glow-in-the-dark table tennis or blacklight table tennis - this non-technical event of the chapter had the participants play the table tennis sport in complete darkness. The net, the racquets, the table, and the ball were neon strinned.
